The Berry Breakfast Smoothie is one of my absolute go-to breakfasts. It is quick and easy with refreshing fruit. It’s like a milkshake but without the milk
The Berry Breakfast Smoothie is so simple, you can almost do it blindfolded. It comes together in about 5 minutes. Perfect for the on the go person. Loaded with fresh fruit to give you that energy you need. It’s also perfect as a pre-workout drink to fuel your body with energy.

If you are working out, your body needs a pre-workout meal and an after workout meal to sustain. For this smoothie, I use strawberries, black raspberries, red raspberries, blueberries, a banana, and your favorite plant-based milk. I normally use either Almond milk or Coconut milk. But you can use whatever your favorite is.

You want to use the freshest fruit possible whenever you make any smoothie. If you let the fruit become completely ripe, it means it is at the height of taste and sweetness. Most fruit contains sugars that make the fruit pretty tasty. These increase as time goes by, but that also means the overall sugar load you get when you eat the fruit increases somewhat. However, that does not mean you have to avoid fruit completely if you are trying to avoid adding sugar to your diet.

Start by cutting 1 whole banana into slices, and placing it into a blender or a Nutri-Bullet. I personally use my Nutri-Bullet for all my smoothies because the container is much smaller than my blender and easier to rinse clean. You can also add a couple of ice cubes to your blender as well to make it super cold. Add your strawberries, blueberries, and both raspberries.
Pour in 1/4 Cup (or more if desired) of your plant-based milk, blending thoroughly until it is very smooth. Pour in a large glass and top with a few blueberries.
Berry Breakfast Smoothie
A quick and easy smoothie recipe. Great for those on the go or for a pre-workout.
Ingredients
- 1 banana, sliced
- 6-8 large ripe strawberries, sliced
- 5 black raspberries
- 6 red raspberries
- heaping 1/3 Cup fresh blueberries
- 1/4 Cup Plant-Based milk
Instructions
- Cut 1 whole banana into slices and place into blender or Nutri-Bullet with a couple of ice cubes (optional)
- Add strawberries, blueberries, black raspberries, and red raspberries.
- Pour in 1/4 cup (or more if desired) of your favorite plant-based milk
- Blend thoroughly until it is creamy and smooth.
- Pour in a large glass and top with a few berries.
Notes
I normally use either almond milk or coconut milk but feel free to use any plant-based milk. For more protein, add a good handful of finely chopped spinach or use a plant-based vanilla protein powder. Spinach is more nutrient-dense and a wiser choice. For more blueberry flavor, use a little fewer strawberries and red raspberries, and add more blueberries.
