Mornings can be…chaotic. Whether you’ve got kiddos to get up and at ’em, an early Zoom meeting, a long commute, or a slow riser, sometimes “healthy plant-based breakfast” goes unticked on your to-do list. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Follow these 4 Tips for Eating Healthy with plant-based breakfast hacks to make your morning’s a whole lot easier.

By using the 4 tips for eating healthy, you can prepare tomorrow’s plant-based breakfast today! Kill two birds with one stone and bake breakfast muffins while you make dinner tonight. You’ll have to check out my Apple Orchard Muffins or Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins. These are coming very very soon. You’ll even want to make a double batch and they freeze great! Keep one batch out and freeze half for next week!). Or take ten minutes before you go to bed to make individual chia puddings and overnight oats then pop in the refrigerator for the next morning.

Smoothies make an awesome and easy plant-based breakfast for anyone with busy mornings. That said, nothing will annoy you more during a chaotic morning than having to wash, peel, and cut your fruits and vegetables for the blender. Avoid this and simply prepare your smoothie ingredients the day before or during the weekend then store in the freezer.  If you’re feeling extra organized and have a little extra meal prep time, you can even create serving-size smoothie pouches with your favorite combinations to blend-and-go! 

3. Freeze Pancakes or Zucchini Fritters

If you love having a big breakfast in the morning but don’t have the time or energy to get things going first thing, there’s a simple solution. Freeze pancakes! Next time you make weekend pancakes, double the batch and pop half in the freezer.  Your frozen pancakes only need a few seconds in the toaster, the microwave, or Air Fryer to warm up, and you’ll have delicious pancakes for breakfast, even when life gets busy.

4. Set The Mood

Setting the table after you’ve done the dinner dishes will save you a lot of time and mentally prepare you for your plant-based breakfast the next day. Pour whole-grain cereal in bowls, cover, and put on the table for morning. Have cutlery and glasses ready. Set out tea bags and fill the kettle. With every set to go, you’ll have more time in the morning to enjoy your healthy plant-based breakfast and maybe even relax before the day head.

      Glad you liked it. I try to give as many tips as I can so people aren’t struggling. I do freeze pancakes quite often. Make sure you have a sheet of freezer paper in between and in a freezer container. I double-bag mine using freezer ziplock bags.
